The Wines of Antinori (Haskell’s Minnetonka)

Best $30 I have ever spent for a tasting. Yes I have run a ton and been to a ton. How there were not more people at this event is beyond words. Anyway here are the wines.

CellarTracker! Haskell’s Antinori Tasting

  • 2021 Antinori Tignanello – Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
While young showing great promise. 80% Sangiovese/ 10% Cabernet Sauvignon/ !0% Cabernet Franc. Natural cork. Black licorice, spice, earth, cherry, cedar, bright floral notes and blueberries. Long finish and concentrated wine. What a treat and should drink well for 20 years. 94+ (94 pts.)
  • 2021 Antinori Solaia – Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
Natural cork. Well for a $30 tasting this was a show stopper. Maybe the smoothest wine I have tasted this year. Minerals, sour cherry, perfume, wood, dust, blue currants, coffee beans and cassis. Long and elegant finish. This wine is young but this showing always it to drink now over the next 25 years. Outstanding and top 10 candidate of the year. 96+ (96 pts.)
