2026 Wine Promoted
Quarter Three Wines Promoted
Top Wine of Willamette for the Money deserves a spot here. Under $60 and better than a much higher priced operation that charges over $200 for Chardonnay.
- 2023 Goodfellow Family Cellars Chardonnay Richard’s Cuvee Whistling Ridge Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge (8/14/2026)
Day 1: Glasvin Kane. Composite cork. Wow is all I can say. Top 3 Chardonnay’s on this trip. Matchstick, lemon, grapefruit, white flowers, wood, stone, spice and dust. This is super tasty and complex. A top white effort for 2026 for sure. 96 points
Day 2: Amazing with matchstick, grapefruit, lemon, wood, spices, white flowers, stone, dust and minerals. Super complex and think top Chardonnay’s from Abbott Claim and Morgen Long without the price. 96 points
Day 3: Held up beautifully and my niece Erika was able to try some and love it. White flowers, matchstick, smoke, apple, grapefruit, lemon, minerals and stone. Super complex offering. 96 points
Recommendation: If you like Abbott Claim and Morgen Long wines this is cheaper and equal to their top offerings. (96 points)

2000 Bordeaux Yes Please. This with a 3 hour decant was rocking last night.
- 2000 Château Léoville Barton – France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Saint-Julien
Excellent showing. Natural cork in perfect shape thanks to the Durand. 3 hour decant. Funk, mushroom, raspberry, cherry, dust, dried flowers, earth and minerals. Needed time for sure and these will drink well for 15 plus more years. Great wine. (96 pts.)

Well did not have a on the bingo card in 2026 a Carmenere as wine promoted. This is the smoothest most flavorful Carmenere I have ever tasted. This is a back the truck up wine.
- 2023 Cooper Wine Company Carménère Estate – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain (7/22/2026)
Day 1: Glasvin Kane. Well I personally hate Carmenere and can count on one hand good ones I have sampled. OK this is by far the best. Not hot and alcoholic like most. Bramble, spices, blue currants, cherry, smoke, dust and underbrush. Medium to long finish. Super complex and aromatic. Ok I love this wine! 95 points
Day 2: Wow this is borderline 96 on day 2. Blueberries, bramble, spices, cherry, a touch of smoke, wood, underbrush, violets and perfume. If you want to wow someone serve this blind to them. 95.75 points (95 points)

Well let’s not waste any time promoting great wines and wineries for the third quarter. Pasxa & The Walls Gaspard made my quarter 2 wines promoted and this is a white gem you all need to try.
- 2024 Pášxa White Wine Rockgarden Vineyard – USA, Oregon, The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater (7/2/2026)
Jamie is Back in Town; 7/1/2026-7/2/2026 (Kenwood, Minneapolis): Glasvin Universal. Natural cork. Wow is this good. 58% Marsanne, 41% Roussanne and 1% Viognier. Minerality along with lemon, melon, exotic spices, white flowers, honey, apricots, stone, dust and matchstick. Medium to long finish and nice acidity. Just a real stellar offering and for $100 a bargain in my opinion. Outstanding. 96+ points
Day 2: Rocking as well. Lemon, minerals, white flowers, dust, stone, melon, spices and a touch of honey. Super complex and wonderful effort. 96 points
Day 3: Dropping off a little bit. Chalk, lemon, spices, white flowers, candied pineapple, stone and matchstick. Medium plus finish. 93 points
Recommendation: These will age for a decade without any worries. Absolutely stunning effort. (96 points)
