2026 Quarter Three Wines Disrupted
Cameron Hughes has been buying grapes wine makers and growers have been dumping for years. Throw some oak chips in the cheaper wines and consumers will buy. Never been a fan of their wines.
- 2019 de Négoce Cabernet Sauvignon OG N.300 – USA, California, Napa Valley, Howell Mountain
Tasted blind and did not like this. Sweet currants, blackberries, spices, wood and earth. Medium finish and a bit hot. Not my style. (81 pts.)
What a strange grape to produce. There is a reason not many are bottling this. Worst wine tasted in Wilamette.

This will be the lowest scored wine of this trip. Not sure why we are making this wine and the tasting room was really trying to push this. Sawdust, lemon, and spice. A bit of chemical taste. no. (70 points)
Well took half way through the month to get two worthy wines to disrupt. Both tasted blind. Caymus continues to make wines that don’t taste like wine.

Oh boy was this sweet and not balanced. HOT. Prunes, spices and dust. Not sure where these grapes were sourced but guessing Lodi. (74 pts.)
- 2025 Terre di Sanvito Primitivo Cantiniere – Italy, Puglia, Puglia IGT
When a group of 11 of mostly beginners spit a wine out at a blind event you know it is crap. This was a complete disaster and why import this into the US? Slight chemical taste along with raisins mixed with water. No concentration and this wine is Disrupted. (60 pts.)

Walla Walla 2.0 Event (Tonya’s House Minneapolis, MN): Well one of K’s top wines and no one liked this and got no top 3 votes. Motor City Kitty is much better. Smoke, earth, light fruits, dried flowers and dust. Just nothing exciting here and a boring wine. By far last place. (84 points)
