  • 2024 Wines of Sagemoor Rosé Gamache – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley
Glasvin universal. Lemon, watermelon, spices, minerals and strawberries. Medium finish and nice acidity. (91 pts.)
  • 2023 Château Léoville Poyferré – France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Saint-Julien
Day 1: Glasvin Kane. Super tight at a 4 hour decant. Gravel, blueberries, spices, floral and earth. Decanting another 3 hours. 90 points
Day 1: 8 hour decant. Always try before you buy this is not very good. All these guys at 94/95 are not doing this wine right. Elegant and light in style. Gravel, spices, leather, wood, chestnuts and plum. Medium finish. Easy pass for me at this price point. 91 points (91 pts.)
  • 2014 Château Pape Clément – France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan
Glasvin Kane. Outstanding showing. For sure top 3 wine tonight with funk, dark plums, spices, menthol, cherry, leather and wood. Should drink well through 2032. Excellent value on WTSO. (94 pts.)
  • 2018 Immortal Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Slope – USA, California, Sonoma County
Good but not as good as the 19. 3 hour decant and 3 Vinturi’s. Dust, spices, plum, floral and earth. Over time this should improve. (92 pts.)
  • 2019 Benom Wines Hoc – USA, California, Central Coast, Paso Robles
One of the better Paso wines with Cab in the blend. 52% Carignan, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Syrah. Earth, underbrush, violets, cherry, spices, minerals and dust. Balanced wine and nice acidity. Medium plus finish. Like it. (93 pts.)
  • 2023 Lidio Carraro Quorum Grande Vindima – Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul, Serra Gaúcha, Vale dos Vinhedos
Glasvin Kane. Solid wine from Brazil and a blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Tannat. Light wine with spices, floral, raspberries, earth and dust. Medium finish. (91 pts.)
  • 2016 Spence Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Atelier – USA, California, Napa Valley, Howell Mountain
Glasvin Kane. Very nice showing and third time trying this one. Spices, blueberries, dark currants, wood, chocolate, earth and menthol. Medium plus finish. Still plenty of life left in this one. (94 pts.)
  • 2019 Domaine Curry Gentleman’s Cut – USA, California, Napa Valley
Glasvin Kane. Well made wine and should age nicely for another decade. Spices, cherry, blueberries, floral, earth and baking chocolate. Medium finish. One hour decant. (92 pts.)

2013 Horsepower Vineyards Syrah The Tribe Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley
Day 1: Glasvin Kane. Natural cork. This is in a perfect drinking window right now. Spices, mild funk, tar, white pepper, earth, celery, blueberries and iodine. Medium finish. Very mellow compared to some of the Cayuse wines. 94 points
Day 2: Some of the funk has died off and in a better place day 2. Really impressed with the 13 vintage. Some liked this wine and others hated hence the glut of these and others like it on Winebid. Exotic spices, blueberries, white pepper, iodine, earth and dried flowers. Medium plus finish. 95 points
My wine of the night. (95 pts.)

  • 2019 Horsepower Vineyards Syrah The Tribe Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley
Glasvin Kane. Agree with the Tracker average. Young but lacks the intensity of other wines from the portfolio. Lighter in style than the 13 and features spices, violets, green peppers, earth, red currants and stone. Medium finish. Hold until after 2030. (91 pts.)
