  • 2022 Tercero Chenin Blanc Jurassic Vineyard – USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County
    Day 1: Glasvin Universal. Flint, lemon, spice, lime, tropical fruit, minerals and white flowers. Very flavorful and fragrant. Larry does it again on the whites!!! 92 points (92 pts.)
  • 1998 Fox Creek Shiraz Reserve – Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale
    Day 1: Glasvin Universal. One wine of the flight of four. Eucalyptus, black pepper, Asian spices, dried flowers, violets, coffee beans, iron and plums. Absolute stunning wine at this age. 96 points (96 pts.)
  • 2004 Cayuse Syrah En Cerise Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley
    Day 1: Pop and pour in the decanter. Green olives, blueberries, tar, white pepper, floral, earth and stone. Totally Cayuse for sure. Excellent but drink up. 95 points (95 pts.)
  • 1995 Paul Jaboulet Aîné Hermitage La Chapelle – France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Hermitage
    Day 1: Flat for sure. Past peak. Most expensive wine of the flight. Earth, muted fruit, floral and spices. This wine might be good on the next bottle but my brother bought this on WineBid and money he will never get back. 75 points (75 pts.)
  • 2022 Sparkman Cellars Syrah Untamed – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley
    Day 1: Wonderful wine and at $15.00 a bottle for the month of March my new go to favorite favorite from Washington. Blue currants, coffee beans, spices, minerals, floral and earth. Medium finish. 91 points (91 pts.)
  • 2003 Fonseca Porto Vintage – Portugal, Douro, Porto
    Day 14: Rich and love it. Blackberries, soy, tar, black licorice, dust and ripe plums. Medium plus finish. (94 pts.)
