Well look at his skill set now:

2024 Bedrock Wine Co. Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard (USA, California, Sonoma County, Moon Mountain District)  Red6/24/2026Ben Christiansen96
A clear step up in structure and gravitas. Where some of the other vineyard bottlings emphasize fruit, minerality, or youthful exuberance, Monte Rosso brings a stronger backbone and a greater sense of sophistication. The fruit is concentrated and deep, yet it feels framed rather than dominant, supported by firm tannins and a more architectural structure. There is an impression of rocky hillside intensity beneath the fruit, with savory undertones and a measured, composed profile that unfolds gradually in the glass. The palate carries notable authority without excess weight, balancing power with poise and finishing with impressive persistence.

This feels less immediately expressive than some of its stablemates, but more complete and age-worthy, with the kind of structure that suggests considerable development ahead.
