Well being the top independent wine critic in the world has its advantages. I don’t work for anyone and financially I don’t have to. While I can afford wines beyond these price points I love a value (Think Mr. B from Davenport). Anyway these are two wines that push far above the cost from WTSO.
- 2019 J. Christopher Pinot Noir Bella Vida Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Dundee Hills (6/22/2026)
Day 1: Glasvin Obsession Pinot Stem. Natural cork. One of the bigger myths in wine is that wine that is shipped needs time to settle. Well The Neely Chardonnay and this Pinot says otherwise which has always been my experience. When you think Burg like from Oregon J. Christopher really comes to mind. Cranberry, underbrush, earth, mushrooms, spices, violets and dust. Nice acidity and a wonderful effort for the price. 93 points
Day 2: Love this style and rustic in nature. Cranberry, dried strawberries, underbrush, spices, dust, earth and violets. Nice minerality on the medium plus finish. 93 points
Recommendation: Yes! (93 points)

- 2021 Neely Chardonnay Spring Ridge Vineyard Home Block – USA, California, Santa Cruz Mountains (6/22/2026)
Day 1: Glasvin Kane. Natural cork. What at a steal at $14.99 via WTSO. Minerals, saline, Myers lemon, grapefruit, stone and floral notes. This is balanced and offers nice complexity. A true super value under $20.00. 92 points
Day 2: Flint, saline, grapefruit, lemon, white flowers, stone and shells. Very Chablis like and love it. 93 points
Recommendation: Easy purchase on WTSO for $14.99. (93 points)

Wow Neely for $15 a bottle. That is $60 out of the winery.
Thomas yes these are $6o out of the winery and that does not include tax and shipping cost. The best Chardonnay deal of the year.
