Wines of Sagemoor

I enjoyed the wines from Sagemoor Estates over 3 days at Taste Washington. They were one of the few wineries that attended the Friday Night Gala so thank you to them. Also when you make a Washington State Rose and I give it 91 points that is a big deal so well done.

Previous to Taste Washington I enjoyed the Stars in a Row Cabernet and Without Rehearsal from the now closed Sunfish Cellars. Hope they reopen.

  Taste Washington Grand Tasting Day 2 (Lumen Field, Seattle): Glasvin Universal. Wine is better than the last bottle I had and this is direct from the winery Minerals, saline, orange peel, dust, lemon and floral notes. Drink now is recommended. (92 points)
• 2019 Wines of Sagemoor Cabernet Sauvignon Stars in a Row – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (3/22/2026)
  Taste Washington Grand Tasting Day 2 (Lumen Field, Seattle): Glasvin Universal. This was one of the better Cabs at Taste Washington. Cherry, wood, spices, cassis, dried twigs, leather and cigar. Medium plus finish and highly recommended. (93 points)
• 2022 Wines of Sagemoor Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Vineyards – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (3/22/2026)
  Taste Washington Grand Tasting Day 2 (Lumen Field, Seattle): Glasvin Universal. Really like this and Sagemoor is a top 5 Cab producer in Washington. Cherry, plum, spices, dust, wood, chocolate and minerals. Very balanced and drinking well young. (93 points)
• 2019 Wines of Sagemoor Miguel The Man Weinbau Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Wahluke Slope (3/22/2026)
  Taste Washington Grand Tasting Day 2 (Lumen Field, Seattle): Glasvin Universal. Very nice showing on this Bordeaux Blend with cherry, wood, spices, raspberries, rose petals and baking chocolate. Medium plus finish. (92 points)

  Taste Washington Grand Tasting Day 2 (Lumen Field, Seattle): Glasvin Universal. Very nice blend with underbrush, rose petals, earth, spices, pepper and stones. Medium plus finish. Very solid. (92 points)
• 2024 Wines of Sagemoor Rosé Gamache – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (3/22/2026)
  Taste Washington Grand Tasting Day 2 (Lumen Field, Seattle): Glasvin Universal. One of the better rose wines with strawberries, floral, spice and watermelon. Nice acidity. (91 points)
• 2021 Wines of Sagemoor Cabernet Sauvignon Southwind Vineyard – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley (3/20/2026)
  Taste Washington New Vintage (Lotte Hotel, Seattle): This was very good overall. Wood, earth, cassis, minerals, floral and dark chocolate. Rich wine and nice concentration. Recommended. 92+ (92 points)

  Taste Washington New Vintage (Lotte Hotel, Seattle): Glasvin Universal. Stick to what you guys do best and that is red wine. Cherry, earth, floral, mint and raspberries. Fruit forward style but not too much. (91 points)
• 2020 Wines of Sagemoor Without Rehearsal Dionysus, Bacchus, Gamache – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (10/28/2025)
  Day 1: Not nearly as good as the first bottle. Burnt toast, spice, lemon and floral notes. Even at a discount no more bottles will be purchased. 87 points
  Day 2: Candied pineapple, dust, spice, white flowers a burnt toast. Slight oxidization. Again fine but drink up immediately. 85 points
  Day 4: Well this was accidently frozen trying to chill a bit and didn’t taste on day 3 but on day 4 the best showing of this bottle. Orange peel, lemon, spice, white flowers, minerals, pineapple and stone. Never give up on a wine. 91 points
  Recommendation: Drink over 4 days and freeze it. (91 points)

  Another stellar bottle. Cassis, wood, spice, dried flowers, cherry, mild dill, blueberries and baking chocolate. Medium plus finish. (93 points)

  Minerals, spice, orange peel, meters lemon, spice and lime. Super complex and nice acidity. A very nice surprise for under $30 and while not as good as Delille Estates Chaleur Blanc it is close. (92 points)

  Celebrate Walla Walla Vintage Pour (Walla Walla Vitners): Floral, dried cherries, plum, spices and bitter chocolate. A touch of oak on the finish. Solid wine. (90 points)
