I didn’t create 3 Day Wine Review by mistake. Sometimes wines are great on day one and other times wines improve over a few days. I have tasted 4 of Thurston Wolfe wines and 2 great on day 1 but then 2 improved over 3 days. Had some friends over last Friday and they loved the 22 Petite which on day 1 I didn’t enjoy but opened up on day 3 for sure!

Day 1: Glasvin Kane. Screw cap. What a fun and most unique blend. Not sure who else does this in Washington but it works. Refreshing with stone, apricots, lemon, spices, minerals and orange peel. Impressive for the price point. 92 points
Day 2: This truly is a pop and pour wine and enjoy. Declined in quality on day 2 and lost some of that zing. Stone, dust, lemon, spices and floral notes. 90 points
Recommendation: This is a wine just enjoy now through 2027. (92 points)

3 Day Improvements; 4/25/2026-5/19/2026 (3 Day Wine Review World Headquarters, Minneapolis, MN): Day 1: Similar to the Grenache not very enjoyable on the pop and pour. Getting a lot of oak on this up front. Spices, red hots, floral, earth, blue currants and wood/vanilla. A bit much and needs some serious air time. 85 points
Day 2: Similar to day 1 and will decant over night to try on day 3 with a group of wine geeks.
Day 3: Poured this blind to my wine club and they liked this better the 04 Amon Ra and 2023 Pasxa I poured for them. I liked this a lot better on day 3 but not quite at the level of the 2021. Still very good featuring floral, earth, blueberries, wood, a touch of vanilla and spices. Picks up some black pepper on the medium plus finish. 90 points
Recommendation: Needs about 3 plus years in the cellar. (90 points)

3 Day Improvements; 4/25/2026-5/19/2026 (3 Day Wine Review World Headquarters, Minneapolis, MN): Day 1: Glasvin Kane. Natural cork. On the lighter side. Minerals, rose petals, earth, spice and cranberries. Short finish. Will see how this evolves but mid 80s right now. 85 points
Day 2: Well this is why I do 3 Day Wine Review. Going from a bland experience on day 1 to way more intensity on day 2. White pepper, spices, raspberries, rose petals, cranberries and minerals. Medium plus finish. Very enjoyable on day 2. 90 points
Day 3: These young wines just improve with time. Some wines on a pop and pour show well but this is not one of them. Really open for business on day 3. Cranberries, strawberries, rose petals, minerals, white pepper, peppercorns and spice. This has a nice bit to it. Very good wine and value. 91 points
Recommendation: Very well made wine that will age for a decade plus. Decant 2 to 3 hours if consuming on day 1. (91 points)

Petite Sirah Tasting St. Paul (St. Paul, MN): Glasvin Kane. Blind Petit Sirah Tasting and wine of the night for the group and my wine of the night as well. This was blind and outstanding quality. Minerals, raspberries, floral, cherry, dust and blueberries. Nice acidity and elegant wine. Outstanding value at under $25.00 (93 points)
