Thanks to Amy and Scott for hosting another great event prior to the big snow storm in the Twin Cities. The 2007 White Rose from St. Innocent shines again.
CellarTracker! $50 plus Domestic Pinot Noir Tasting
- N.V. Laurent-Perrier Champagne Cuvée Rosé Brut – France, Champagne
Glasvin Champagne Stem. Very nice offering with strawberries, chalk, spice, rose petals and minerals. Found this good but had a bit too much chalk for my palate. Medium finish. (92 pts.)

- 2022 Abbott Claim Chardonnay Temperance Hill Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola – Amity Hills
Glasvin Universal. Another stellar showing and got better with air and warmer temperature. Probably should have opened this on Thursday for the Saturday tasting. These are needing time like any high end red. Matchstick, sour apple, lemon, wood, minerals, saline, shells and orange peel. Medium to long finish. Outstanding Quality. (96 pts.) - 2004 Beaux Frères Pinot Noir The Beaux Frères Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge
Glasvin Obsession. Color is muted. This wine for sure is past prime and wanted to try an older Pinot from Oregon. Would not spend $85 on another. Soy dried raspberries, floral, sour cherry, mint, earth and dust. Medium finish. Drink up. (90 pts.)

- 2012 Beaux Frères Pinot Noir The Beaux Frères Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge
Glasvin Obsession. This was much better than the 04 which was tired. Bright fruit featuring strawberries, cranberries and cherry. Rose petals, wood, spices and earth. Medium finish. Nice acidity. (94 pts.)

- 2007 St. Innocent Pinot Noir White Rose Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Glasvin Obsession. The legendary wine. Mark said he had none left at the winery last summer. Seek and find a bottle on auction. Wow wine with funk, minerals, herbs, rose petals, forest floor, earth and cherry. Burgundy like. Medium plus finish. Outstanding offering. (95 pts.)

- 2013 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton
Glasvin Obsession. Not digging this wine. Lacks fruit. Celery, spices, smoke, sour cherry and dust. Miss the Justice and White Rose Vineyard wines as Shea is an ok offering from Mark. (87 pts.)

- 2018 Shea Wine Cellars Pinot Noir Homer Shea Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Obsession Glasvin. 14.6% and a bit hot. Needed some decanting. Pepper, spice, smoke, earth, mushrooms and cherry. Medium finish. (87 pts.)

- 2019 Cristom Pinot Noir Marjorie Vineyard – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola – Amity Hills
Glasvin Obsession. 13.9%. Natural cork. Nice wine and probably would have been better with a good decant. Raspberries, floral, soy, strawberries, rose petals, minerals and earth. Medium plus finish. Like it. (91 pts.)
