Well brought one and provided one and top 2 wines of the night as the previous weekend had the top 4 in the game. So many wine drinkers buy wine, drink wine and never really analyze wine. No notes, no memories just a purchase and maybe a buzz. I personally will capture every wine I sample the good, bad and the ugly throughout a 30 plus year career and growing. The top 2 were Tonya’s 2019 Fevre Les Clos & my 2013 Rare Champagne. Here are all the notes of the event.
- N.V. Paul Dethune Champagne Grand Cru Brut – France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
Everyone loved it. Served as a starter. Apple, orange, lemon, biscuit and minerals. Clean and refreshing. (91 pts.)

- N.V. Georges Vesselle Champagne Perfection Rose – France, Champagne
A bit sweet as one would expect. Floral, orange peel, spice and ripe fruits. Short finish. Very ordinary wine. (82 pts.) - N.V. Cattier Champagne Premier Cru Brut Rosé – France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
Chalk, spice, rose petals, strawberries and minerals. Medium finish. (90 pts.) - N.V. Laurent-Perrier Champagne Cuvée Rosé Brut – France, Champagne
Strawberry, floral, minerals, spice, dust and dough. Nice fruit and nice acidity. (93 pts.) - 2011 Argyle Extended Tirage Brut Rosé – USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Well this is not even close to the 2010 quality. Light fruit, dust, mild spice. Very ordinary and way overpriced. (84 pts.) - N.V. Champagne Secondé-Collard Champagne Grand Cru La Cuvée Perpétuelle – France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
Very nice wine that showed well tonight. Exotic spices, dough, sour apple, shells, apricots and pear. Medium finish and nice acidity. Very refreshing. (92 pts.)

- 2021 Stressed Vines Chardonnay – USA, California, Napa Valley
Gary’s wine. Very Champagne like with apple, spice, dust, minerals and pear. Refreshing and a touch of chalk on the finish. (91 pts.) - 2013 Rare Champagne – France, Champagne
Well wine of the night until tried the Les Clos next. So much more complex than the other Champagnes. Tangerine, lemon, dough, mild spice, chalk, orange peel, pear and sour apple. Super long finish and offers such a value compared to Dom. 94.5 (94 pts.)

- 2019 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos – France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru
Another beautiful bottle. Tonya needed a bottle for the event and said if you want wine of the night go with this. Well wine of the night. Drinking well young with shells, orange peel, minerals, apple, spice, lemon and stone. Medium plus finish and nice acidity. Drink now to 2035.

- 2022 Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto Toscana IGT – Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
Well not prepped well so hard to really justify a score. Brought to a Sparkling/Champagne event. This is young with leather, tar, spice, funk and red currants. Medium finish. Would have made for a good 3 day review. 90

- 2013 Château Climens – France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Barsac
Another solid showing of this wine. Orange peel, marmalade jam, honey, apricots and stone. Floral notes on the medium plus finish. Funny watching someone who was drunk at this event pour a large pour. (93 pts.)
