  • 2019 Château Haut-Marbuzet – France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Estèphe (2/4/2025)
Day 1: Outstanding value. Blue currants, funk, wood, gravel, minerals, spice and cigar. Nice acidity. Smooth wine and medium plus finish. Natural cork. 93 points
Day 2: Nice acidity on this one. Blue currants, dried cherries, gravel, wood, minerals, spice, cigar and rose petals. This is a very smooth wine and medium finish. Not a powerhouse and elegant in nature. This will be nice now and good through 2030. Not a long-term ager. 93 points (93 points)

  • 2022 Sojourn Pinot Noir Nightwing Vineyard – USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (2/4/2025)
Day 1: Agree with the other assessment of this wine. It is young and not fully showing its true potential. The Rodgers is just drink now and enjoy while this does need time, and we will see how it evolves over 3 days. Cranberry, dust, twigs, unripe strawberries and floral notes. Very delicate wine overall and short to medium finish. Nice acidity. More elegant than the Rodgers for sure. 90 points
Day 2: This has improved and showing nice acidity along with sour cherry, cranberry, dust, spice, minerals, dried flowers, twigs and unripe strawberries. This has a really nice, lingering finish. Very stylish wine and really like where this is going on day 2 and probably down the road. 92 points (92 points)

  • 2018 Gramercy Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley – USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (2/2/2025)
Day 1: Natural cork. Very solid value from WTSO for $29.99 a bottle. Pencil lead, blueberries, cherry, mild spice, wood, minerals and earth. Very balanced and drinking really well on the pop and pour. For sure another purchase of a six pack on this one. 92 points
Day 2: Has not lost a beat. Very concentrated wine with wood, menthol, pencil lead, cherry, blueberries and minerals. While not going to be fooled blind as a Bordeaux it does have some nice elements. Medium finish. 92 points
Day 3: The best of the 3. Earth, cigar, spice, wood, menthol, dust, cherry and blueberries. A wonderful effort from WTSO. 93 points
    Recommendation: WTSO $29.99. (93 points)
  • 2022 Sojourn Pinot Noir Rodgers Creek Vineyard Sonoma Coast – USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (2/1/2025)
Day 1: No doubt a bit intense but overall balanced Pinot Noir. Soy, blue currants, violets, perfume, some pepper, spice and floral notes. For sure not your typical elegant stuff but I like it overall. Great value via WTSO. 92 points
Day 2: I like this even better on day 2. Cranberry, ripe strawberries, and blue currants. Nice fruit up front then delivers with soy, floral notes, perfume, a touch of pepper and spices. Medium plus finish. For sure an amazing value at $32.99. 93 points
Day 3: Bright fruit featuring strawberries and cranberry. Violets, spice, crushed rock, dust, pepper and soy. Medium finish. Big style but not over the top like some. Drink now to 2032. 92 points
Recommendation: Nice value from WTSO. For sure one would guess California on this Pinot but very tasty. (93 points)
  • 2018 Château Chauvin – France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru (1/30/2025)
Day 1: Amazing wine for the money. Wood, cherry, spice, floral, dust and cigar. Medium plus finish. 93 points
Day 2: Really feeling the Cabernet Franc on day 2. Nice floral notes, spice, wood, cigar, perfume and earth. Very balanced effort that should drink well through 2025. 93 points
Day 3: What a great value under $50.00. Chesnuts, wood, cigar, perfume, earth, blue currants, dust, earth and floral notes. The best of the 3 days and pushing 94 points. 93+
Recommendation: A no brainer from WTSO for $42.99. This will age well for 15 years but really is solid on a pop and pour or short decant. (93 points)
